Frija is my first whippet. I'll always remember the day I met her for the
first time. It was the first time I met Marina and her dogs. Most of them were
still asleep when we came, but once me and my friend stepped into the room they woke up, it
was like they had power buttons on their backs! Suddenly we had more puppies
biting our fingers and pulling our hair that we could count.
There were only two puppies still asleep. The other was my Frija, sweet
little Frija. She kept me waiting and was in no hurry to meet us. She
watched the other puppies play, slept some more and slept some more. After a
long moment she finally woke up, walked up to me and cuddled to my lap. She let
me know, that she was not chosen, she decided for herself. I was sold! She could
had been three-legged, crazy and crooked. I had been searching for my perfect
whippet for almost two years, but I didn't care anymore. She was my puppy and I
was her human. There was no question about it, she would come home with me.
For my luck, Frija and her breeder have been everything I was looking for. Frija
is easy to live with, she is loyal, warm, passionate and calm. It has been a
thrill to show her in the rings, to see her chasing a lure and just to live with.
