"Mom, I want a dog." That's how it all began, it was the most typical story. I begged and begged and finally, at the age of 11, I finally got it. Charming, stubborn, bigger-than-life-phenomenom stepped to my life. It was Vili the bichon.

I remember how exited I was. I could barely go to school, because all I wanted to do was play with my puppy. For example, I supposed to study for a test but I was so happy about Vili, that I could only watch him sleep. Actually, he was sleeping on my book, but I couldn't bring myself to wake him up.

I don't really know why I wanted a dog, I dont' know what still makes me like them so much. I just do. It has always been obvious to me that as long as I have a say on it, I will have dogs. They just belong in to my life as firmly as I belong to theirs.

Whippets came in to the picture pretty much as a compromise with my mother. I wanted a saluki, but my mother didn't was a dog that big to her houshold. I anyway had fallen in love with sighthounds so I started to compaire basenjis and whippets. Basenji or any other breed didn't have much of a chanse once I got to know whippets!

First Sagafria -litter was born in february 2009.
